Stollen is my favourite Christmas treat and ours is a chocolate lovers delight.
The fruit is soaked in rum for a week before being folded into a rich buttery dough along with homemade marzipan and chunks of chocolate. It is then baked to rich gooey perfection and brushed with rum butter and heavily dusted with icing sugar.
